Delozone is open to high-quality contributions from professionals working in water treatment, ozone systems, pool and spa engineering, home filtration, and adjacent fields. If you have first-hand expertise and a perspective worth publishing, we’d like to hear from you.
Reach us directly at [email protected] with your pitch.
Who We Publish
We work with three types of contributors:
- Industry professionals — water treatment engineers, certified plumbers, pool/spa technicians, environmental health specialists, and product designers with hands-on system experience.
- Researchers and academics — anyone with peer-reviewed work in water chemistry, ozone applications, advanced oxidation, filtration media, or public health.
- Brand partners — manufacturers and service providers in the water filtration, pool/spa, and smart-home water spaces who want to publish technical thought-leadership content (sponsored posts are clearly disclosed; see terms below).
What We Publish
We accept original, unpublished content in the following formats:
- Technical guides — installation walkthroughs, troubleshooting deep-dives, comparative analyses (1,500–3,000 words).
- Buyer’s research — independent product testing reports with measurable data (TDS readings, flow rates, contaminant reduction percentages).
- Case studies — real-world deployments, before/after results, lessons learned.
- Industry analysis — regulatory updates (EPA PFAS rule, LCRR, state-level water standards), market shifts, emerging technology assessments.
Submission Requirements
- 100% original content. We run every submission through Copyscape and AI-detection tooling. Recycled or AI-generated content without substantial human expertise is rejected.
- Minimum 1,500 words, with structured headings (H2/H3), a clear thesis, and at least three credible external citations from primary sources (NSF, EPA, peer-reviewed journals).
- Real data or first-hand experience — generic listicles assembled from other websites will not be considered.
- Author bio — 50–100 words including your credentials, current role, and one professional link (LinkedIn, company page, or peer-reviewed publication).
- Original graphics — charts, diagrams, or photographs you own. We do not accept AI-generated images.
- Topical fit — content must connect to water treatment, ozone systems, residential/commercial filtration, pool & spa care, well water, water testing, or home water health. Tangential lifestyle pitches are not a fit.
Editorial Standards
All content goes through a two-stage review:
- Technical accuracy review — we verify all chemistry, regulatory, and product-specification claims against primary sources. Errors result in revision requests or rejection.
- Editorial polish — our editors will refine pacing, structure, and flow without changing your meaning. You will see and approve the final version before publication.
Turnaround time from accepted submission to publication is 7–14 days.
Sponsored Content & Brand Partnerships
We publish sponsored posts under transparent guidelines:
- All sponsored content is clearly labeled with “Sponsored” or “In partnership with [Brand]” at the top of the article.
- Sponsored posts must still meet our editorial quality bar — no thinly-disguised press releases or promotional fluff.
- One brand-promotional do-follow link is permitted in the body; additional brand links are no-follow.
- We do not accept content that disparages competitors or makes unverifiable performance claims.
- Pricing and packages are sent on request after we review your brand and proposed angle. Email [email protected] with “Sponsored Content Inquiry” in the subject line.
What We Don’t Accept
- Casino, gambling, CBD, cryptocurrency, adult, or pharmacy content of any kind.
- Posts that are primarily backlink vehicles for unrelated industries (SEO, finance, fashion, tech reviews not connected to water).
- Generic “top 10” listicles assembled by scraping competitors.
- Content with broken English, AI hallucinations, or fabricated statistics.
- Submissions from PBNs or sites with a Domain Rating below 20 looking for a swap.
Link Policy
- One author bio link (do-follow) — pointing to your professional site, LinkedIn, or a peer-reviewed publication.
- Two contextual external links maximum in the article body — these must support a factual claim and point to authoritative sources (.gov, .edu, NSF, peer-reviewed journals, or recognized industry standards).
- Self-promotional or commercial links beyond the author bio are reserved for sponsored partnerships.
How to Pitch
Send your pitch to [email protected] with the subject line Guest Post Pitch — [Your Topic]. Include:
- Three working title options for your proposed article.
- A 100–150 word outline covering your angle, the data or experience you’ll cite, and why our audience should care.
- One link to a previously published piece of yours (any publication, any topic) so we can assess your writing.
- Your professional credentials and any relevant certifications.
We respond to every qualified pitch within 5 business days. Drafts submitted without a prior pitch are not reviewed.
Compensation
Editorial guest contributions (non-sponsored) are unpaid but include a do-follow author bio link, social distribution across our channels, and inclusion in our monthly newsletter to ~6,000 subscribers in the water-treatment industry. We do not pay per-word or per-article for editorial pieces. For paid sponsored placements, see the “Sponsored Content” section above.
